Ms. Anita Kapten is a legislative and public policy analyst and advisor with expertise in evidence-based policymaking and legislative support. She works with legislators to develop sound policy and legislation through rigorous data analysis and research. She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations with a focus on Development Studies from the United States International University-Africa and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Information Technology with a focus on mobile computing from Africa Nazarene University. Through this fellowship, she seeks to deepen her understanding of AI governance frameworks and explore the intersection of gender and technology in policy development, with the aim of integrating these perspectives into her legislative advisory work across Africa.
