We are pleased to invite you to participate in the ‘Emerging Tech and Governance in Kenya’ Webinar organized by the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (CIPIT). The webinar will take place on September 25, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m.

The Webinar will query what effective governance structures are in place with respect to emerging technology given Kenya’s legal framework. Part of this discussion will be the current case of Worldcoin’s entry into the Kenyan Jurisdiction. While the emphasis of the discussion will be on the data protection aspects, we also hope to have a discussion around ethics, standards and guidelines required for emerging technology in a developing country context.
